One of the largest manufacturing companies in Florida Is expanding into the Belle Glade area, and with that expansion comes more than 200 job opportunities.
The Finfrock facility is still being built but in the meantime, the company is hiring all sorts of manufacturing and construction jobs.
That means carpenters, welders, and equipment operators are welcome to apply for a new job.
Historically the unemployment rate for the Belle Glade area is four to five times higher than the rest of Palm Beach County.
Charles Duval works at Careersource of Palm Beach County and says Finfrock’s move to the area is a big push for the economic growth of the Glades.
“The Glades has been largely driven by agriculture so when the season ends many people are unemployed,” said Duval. “We have made efforts to diversify our economy and this is a major shift in that.”
This is just the first of many job fairs being held in the area. Finfrock’s Central Florida location is also hiring employees.
