PALM BEACH COUNTY BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT BOARD LAUNCHES NEW “INVEST LOCAL” CAMPAIGN

The Business Development Board of Palm Beach County (BDB) unveiled a collaborative, multi-platform campaign to create awareness about the vital importance of supporting local businesses. In an effort to generate support for local businesses and help bolster Palm Beach County’s “recovery economy,” a 40-foot banner was installed on the west wall of its West Palm Beach headquarters at 310 Evernia Street that encourages businesses and citizens to buy local, meet local, eat local, stay local, play local, dine local, etc. This message will also appear in hundreds of email signatures, email campaigns and newsletters over the next six months from members of the business community, as well as the Economic Council of Palm Beach County. What are the most popular programs for the college?

As a state college, 60% of our students come here to earn an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree and transfer to our bachelor’s programs or to a university bachelor’s program, most frequently in the state. Most of our students want to transfer to Florida Atlantic University or the University of Central Florida. Florida International University and the University of Florida are also top choices.

Palm Beach County’s Summer Food Service Program starts June 1

PALM BEACH COUNTY — The Palm Beach County Youth Services Department’s Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) will transition from pre-summer feeding at eight locations to the full Summer Food Service Program feeding schedule. Beginning June 1, 43 sites throughout the county, including 16 Palm Beach County Library locations, will serve as meal distribution sites with additional sites added weekly.
