CAMPUS EVENTS HIGHLIGHT WOMEN LEADERS, AUTHORS

Panel discussions, featuring authors as well as business and higher education leaders, will be held at Palm Beach State College next week, capping a series of Women’s History Month events.

A Women’s Voice: Authors from Palm Beach State College will be held from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. March 27 in TEC 128 on the Belle Glade campus and from 2:30-3:30 p.m. March 28 in LGA 227 on  the Loxahatchee Groves campus. PBSC professors Danielle Kennedy and Dr. Barbara De Gorge, both published authors, will read excerpts from their books and discuss their experiences getting their works published.

This year’s Women of Distinction event, themed “Emerging Leaders of the Community: Women Connecting Women,” will be held at the Boca Raton campus from 8:30 to 10 a.m. March 29 in the Humanities & Technology Building lecture hall. The event highlights women’s contributions to the world and the community and features  participants  of the 2018 class of Leadership Boca.

Dr. Bernadette Russell, vice president of e-learning and Boca Raton campus provost, and Sarah Pearson, executive vice president of the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, the event co-sponsor, will serve as moderators. Panelists are Judy Farmer, human resources director, Florida Peninsula Insurance Company; Alison Miuccio, membership development manager, Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce; Susan Bronstein, associate director of Graduate and Online Admission, Lynn University; Farideh Farazmand, director of COBM Graduate Programs and professor of International Business, Lynn University; Rashanna Henderson, founder, I-Launch, Inc.; Dr. Sheri Goldstein, dean of Student Services, PBSC Boca Raton campus.
