Senate Bill 10 Altered to Benefit Farmland

Gov. Rick Scott recently signed Senate Bill 10 into legislation to help restore Lake Okeechobee and the Everglades by building a reservoir south of the lake.

As a result, the agricultural community in the Glades Region will benefit because only government-owned land will be used for flooding excess water.

The BDB-LORE partnership appreciates all parties who helped save Palm Beach County’s farmland.  The BDB and LORE will continue to work with local, county, and state-level counterparts to help preserve the Glades Region’s land and jobs.
