With the goal of promoting lifelong learning opportunities for their registered nurses, the Health Care District of Palm Beach County recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Palm Beach State College to support Health Care District RNs in obtaining Palm Beach State’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

PBSC RECEIVES $1.3 MILLION FROM FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TO ENHANCE WORKFORCE EDUCATION
(Lake Worth, Fla. – Oct. 19, 2020) – Individuals looking to quickly upskill, or reskill, to become more marketable in an economy impacted by COVID-19 will find scholarships and accelerated training opportunities at Palm Beach State College through a $1.3 million grant from the Florida Department of Education.
PALM BEACH COUNTY UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IMPROVES TO 7.0 PERCENT; DROPS BELOW STATE, NATIONAL RATES
West Palm Beach, Fla. (Oct. 16, 2020) – Palm Beach County’s unemployment rate for September fell to 7.0 percent from 7.9 percent in August, marking a second consecutive month of improvement in the county’s employment picture. The county’s rate also fell below the 7.7 percent national rate and Florida’s 7.6 percent rate, according to the latest monthly reports released today by CareerSource Palm Beach County and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (all numbers not seasonally adjusted).
