The Business Development Board of Palm Beach County will host its second Academic Leaders Council meeting, an initiative that focuses on preserving and expanding the intellectual capital in the County while ensuring that the curriculum taught in the classroom aligns with the growing targeted industries in the County.

Hundreds of Palm Beach County Public School high school students, including schools from the Glades Region, had an opportunity to learn about careers in Palm Beach County at the Business Development Board’s and School District of Palm Beach County’s “Claim Your Future Showcase” on February 7 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.

On Friday, March 17, residents and other concerned parties in the Glades Region of Palm Beach County attended a public forum about the proposed plan to use Glades farmland for flooding. The BDB-LORE Alliance continues to work with local, county, and state-level counterparts to help preserve the Glades Region land and jobs.
